There has been some recent vehicle Thefts in the Kettering Corby District whereby the stolen vehicles have been of the
Keyless Entry / Ignition type and have been stolen without the Keyless Fob.
If you have or know of someone who has a Keyless Entry / Ignition vehicle please take a moment to take a look at the advice in the below attachment on how to help keep your vehicle safe and secure from would be thieves that use devices that scan for the signal emitted from the fob and vehicle.
General Vehicle Crime prevention advice:
- Park your car in a garage or driveway if possible, or on a busy, well-lit road. Choose a ParkMark® accredited public car park wherever possible
- Physically check your central locking system has activated to ensure the signal hasn’t been blocked and the car left unlocked
- Store keys for keyless entry cars in a RFID pouch or foil lined tin to block signal from scanners that will remotely unlock your car e.g Defender Signal Blocker
